INSURANCE CREDIT SCORE

Most insurance carriers use credit information known as an ‘insurance credit score.’ An ‘insurance credit score’ is calculated using information about your credit history. Some factors used to score credit are public records, payment history, length of credit history, inquiries for credit, number of open lines of credit, types of credit in use, and outstanding debt.
Information collected, such as your name, address, and social security number, may be used by the insurance carriers to obtain your ’insurance credit score.’

In CA and certain other jurisdictions, the use of ‘insurance credit scores’ is limited by law.

DISCLAIMERS

All content is provided “as is” without any express or implied warranty of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, non-infringement of intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose. In no event shall PCIA be liable for any special, indirect, exemplary, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of use, data or profits, business interruption, or loss of information) arising out of the use of or inability to use the materials, even if PCIA has been advised of the possibility of such damages without regard to the form of any action, including but not limited to contract, negligence or other tortuous actions, arising out of or in connection with the use, copying or display of the content. Because some jurisdictions prohibit the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.

Coverage varies by state and insurance company.
